Good skin doesn't need ten products

What a workable skincare routine looks like for people with three minutes in the morning. Three products, a fixed order, and the question of when you may skip a step.

Most of the skin issues we see in the salon come from routines too complicated to keep up — not from the wrong products.

A routine you keep for three weeks and then forget does less than a sober routine you follow every day. That is why our consults rarely involve more than four products.

The three steps that always apply

Cleanse, hydrate, protect. In that order, morning and evening. That is the whole thing. The products differ by skin type, the principle does not.

For the average skin we work with the Logic by Forever line in the salon: a gel cleanser, an aloe essence, and a gel moisturizer. Anyone who wants to build more adds a serum. Anyone who wants less skips the essence.

When you may ignore the routine

Are you travelling? Are you ill? Do you have a week where nothing goes right? Wash your face with water and skip what is hard. The idea that you must hit the full routine every day is a marketing idea, not a biological fact.

Skin that gets care six days and is left alone for one looks better than skin cared for consistently for three weeks and then left alone for a month. Sustainability outweighs perfection.

What this is not

This advice is for healthy, ordinary skin. If you have a diagnosis — eczema, rosacea, severe acne, a skin condition confirmed by a dermatologist — follow their advice. Our products are cosmetics. Not medication.

Frequently asked questions

Which product do I use in the morning, and which in the evening?

Cleansing and hydrating happen at both times. SPF is for daytime only. A serum can go in either slot, but once a day is enough.

Do I need both a day cream and a night cream?

Not necessarily. A good gel moisturizer covers both. A dedicated night cream is an addition for people who want extra nourishment, not a requirement.

Can I combine my current products with Forever ones?

Yes. In a consult we look at what you use and what could be supplemented. We will not sell you something just because it is Forever.
